Album: Yourself or Someone Like you

This is such a great and easy song to play. You MUST use a capo on 1st fret.

Intro:
G D Em C
G D Em C

Verses:
Em C
Kody sat down on the avenue
Em C
He tapped his feet to the humming of the highway
Em C
He watched the light shine down on the broken glass
           G D Em
And thought well I don't got no reasons yet
          C
There it is and there it was
Em C
Now it was clear to all of us
Em C
We kept this hat of broken dreams
G D C
And we pulled it out when we needed them around

Chorus:
G D Em C
So please hand me the bottle I think I'm lonely now
G D Asus2
And please give me direction I think the hurt set in
          C Bm G D/F# Em
And I don't feel nothin'

C Em C

Verse chords:
There's a squeak hinge down on the back gate
It lets us know if he comes around
But I don't sleep that good anyway now
G D C
And if you've never heard that sound it's a God-awful sound

Chorus:
So please hand me the bottle I think I'm lonely now
And please give me direction I think I just caved in
            C Bm G D/F# Em G D/F# Em
And I don't feel nothin'
           C
Hey I don't feel nothin' hey I don't feel nothin'
                          D
There's nothin' to feel good about here

Verse Chords:
I don't much get down onto the avenue
Well I could drive but it takes so much to get there
Don't get off on all the broken glass the Cadillac scene
Well I've seen a lot of good things die and I'm in an over-emotional way

Chorus 2x
So please hand me the bottle I think I'm lonely now
And please give me direction I think the hurt sets in

Hey well please hand me the bottle well I think I'm lonely now
I'm lonely now I'm lonely now hold me now hold me now
And please give me direction I think I just caved in
          C
But it ain't nothin'

This is the acoustic part. It's such a great song. Any questions, mail me.
