SECURE YOURSELF (Amy Ray)
-------------------------
[Actually in B; capo 2.]
[Each chord represents TWO measures.]
[Asus9* means it's actually Asus9-A6sus9-Asus9-Em/A; refer to the tablature
at the end for fingerings and rhythm.]
[The D measures usually have a little D(9) toward the end.]
[Em(4) is x02000.]

A [no guitar] G [no guitar]
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
D [no guitar] A [no guitar]
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun

Asus9* Asus9* Asus9* Asus9*
[instrumental]

       Asus9 Em(4)
In the ink of an eye I saw you bleed, through the thunder I could hear
   you scream
G D
Solid to the air I breathe, open-eyed and fast asleep
 Asus9 Em(4)
Falling softly as the rain, no footsteps ringing in your ears
G D
Ragged down worn to the skin, warrior raging, have no fear

  Asus9 G
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
        D Asus9* Asus9*
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun

I'm kneeling down with broken prayers, hearts and bones from days of youth
Restless with an angel's wing, I dig a grave to bury you
No feet to fall, you need no ground, allowed to glide right through the sun
Released from circles guarded tight, now we all are chosen ones

  Asus9 G
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
        D Asus9*
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun

  Asus9 [hold] G [hold]
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
        D [hold] Asus9* Asus9* Asus9* Asus9
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun

In the ink of an eye I saw you bleed, through the thunder I could hear
   you scream
Solid to the air I breathe, open-eyed and fast asleep
Falling softly as the rain, no footsteps ringing in your ears
Ragged down worn to the skin, warrior raging, have no fear

Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
(In the ink of an eye I saw you bleed, through the thunder I could hear...)
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun
(Solid to the air I breathe, open-eyed and fast asleep)
Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come
(No feet to fall, you need no ground, allowed to glide right through the sun)
Fasten up your earthly burdens, you have just begun
(Released from circles guarded tight, now we all are chosen ones)
Now we all are chosen ones, but now the night has come
(Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight, the night has come)
  D A [hold]
Released from circles guarded tight, now we all are chosen ones
(Fasten up your earthly burdens, now we all are chosen ones)

TAB:

This tab is for the instrumental part right after the vocal/organ intro.

The D's and U's under the chord names are Amy's strumming part; D for down,
U for up. Uppercase D's and U's are accented more than lowercase d's and u's.
