INTRO
It's basically just the 7th position open E followed by 4th and 6th position versions of
the standard E chord shape. The cool part is just based off of an arpeggiated open C
with a couple little twists thrown in. Very simple, very cool sounding.

e--0------------0----------0-------------------------------0----------------
b--0------------0----------0---------------------------1-----3--------------
g--9----4--6----9--4--6----9--4--6----------------------------0------------
d--9----5--7----9--5--7----9--5--7-slide down------2------------0----------
a--7----5--7----7--5--7----7--5--7-------------0-3-------------------------
e--0------------0----------0------------------------------------------------
  let open strings ring...

e--0-------------------------------------------------------0----------------
b--0---------------------------------------------------1/----3--------------
g--9----4--6----9--4--6----9--4--6----------------------------0------------
d--9----5--7----9--5--7----9--5--7-slide down------2------------0----------
a--7----5--7----7--5--7----7--5--7-------------0-3-------------------------
e--0------------0----------0------------------------------------------------

That is the main base riff of the whole song.

Now this is what I hear behind the chorus..

e---------------------------------------------------------------
b---------3-----------------------------------------------------
g--0------2--------0-----------------0-2p0----------------------
d--0------0--------2---------------0-------4-0------------------
a--x------0--------3---------0-2-3------------------------------
e--3------------------------------------------------------------
    Shine on, shine on........
e---------------------------------------------------------------
b---------3-----------------------------------------------------
g--0------2--------4-------5------------------------------------
d--0------0--------4-------5------------------------------------
a--x------0--------2-------3------------------------------------
e--3------------------------------------------------------------
    Shine on, shine onnnn

Next is the solo, which I doubt I'm going to figure out here on my acoustic guitar...
at least until I figure out how to mount that tremolo bar ;)
